Commonwealth of Learning (COL) is an intergovernmental organisation created by Commonwealth Heads of Government to encourage the development and sharing of open learning and distance education knowledge, resources and technologies. WikiEducator is a community resource supported by COL for the development of free educational content.

OLCOS cooperates with the Development Gateway Foundation as a member of the Open Educational Resources dgCommunity.

The Development Gateway Foundation facilitates knowledge sharing and collaboration among development practitioners worldwide. dgCommunities, a Foundation program, is a collaborative online space for development professionals to share knowledge, tools, contacts, and more with nearly 40,000 members in 200 countries. The Open Educational Resources dgCommunity offers a clearinghouse of learning content, tools, and implementation resources. The site offers educators, students and self-learners a wide range of learning subjects and course materials aggregated from leading schools and OER portals. In addition, policy makers, school administrators, and instructional designers will find resources that address key issues in open education, including copyright and licenses, as well as tools and technology.
